Brainkind is a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK. Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people to regain the skills they have lost. Role Overview

Assist the Director to programme manage multiple and geographically dispersed projects, ensuring robust management of stakeholders and interdependencies in order to deliver agreed objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Assist the Director to co-ordinate and implement the organisation’s overarching business strategy, delivered primarily through a combination of accommodation re-provision, modernisation of current services and new developments.
  • Work with operational colleagues to develop and implement localised business plans.
  • Lead on feasibility studies, liaising with commissioners to identify opportunities for new areas of business development.
  • Work with operational colleagues to review services and identify opportunities for remodelling.
  • Work with the Director to manage the programme environment, ensuring robust project management for major capital and non-capital projects.
  • Monitor tender portals and produce compelling submissions.
  • Monitor occupancy levels and implement a blended tactical promotional plan that maximises the capacity of individual services.
  • Work with colleagues to review fee packages and to maximise statutory income.
  • Support Brainkind's legal advisor to review contracts, ensuring that Brainkind's commercial aims are protected.
  • Have oversight for the implementation of 'Customer Relations Management' (CRM) system.
  • Development: To work under the Director and in close collaboration with operational and support colleagues, ensuring a corporate and joint approach to the development of modern, commissioner-led products and services.
  • To assist the Director to develop strategies and business plans for new business, clearly identifying budgetary requirements and projected return, ensuring all plans are aligned with the overarching programme.
  • Lead on negotiations for new developments, fee increases and remodelling of services.
  • Lead the team to ensure effective promotion of Brainkind and its individual divisions e.g. organisation of and representation at relevant events, seminars/conferences.
  • Develop and maintain systems enabling management information to produce KPI reports.
  • Actively engage, network and build partnering opportunities with internal and external stakeholders.

Person Specification

  • Knowledge of strategy, planning and meeting set objectives.
  • Excellent digital literacy, ability to use MS office standard suits of software applications.
  • Experience of additional software applications common to the sector e.g. SharePoint & Teams.
  • Knowledge of funding bodies and commissioning frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent the organisation to internal and external departments.
  • Exceptional organisational skills for project management.
  • Project Management Qualification.
  • Knowledge of competitor analysis and research.
  • Knowledge of databases.
  • Knowledge of budget management.
  • Knowledge of sector specific costing models and commissioning processes.
  • Knowledge of utilising assistive technology to support people with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of CQC requirements & sector legislation.
