MAIN PURPOSE:
To be responsible for ensuring the sales ledger is accurate and up to date, with thorough account reconciliation, including identifying and rectifying any inaccuracies. This role would be ideally suited to a graduate or newly qualified candidate.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigate/reconcile individual accounts to resolve disputes
- Verifying accuracy of all sales information within the system
- Liaising with sites to maintain accurate billing and credit control
- Investigate and chase all outstanding debt on an ongoing basis
- Maintain debt levels within prescribed targets
- Deal with cash related queries from internal & external customers
- Produce sales ledger reports as required
- Any other associated sales ledger duties as required
- To support with administrative duties within the finance team
- To undertake any other reasonable duties falling within the role of Reconciliations Officer as identified by the Accounts Receivable & Income Team Leader
- To undertake any reasonable travelling requirements, in order to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role
ABOUT YOU:
- Basic level GCSE education including Maths and English or equivalent.
- Proven working knowledge and/or experience of credit control
- Proven working knowledge and experience of complex account reconciliations
- Proven working knowledge and experience of sales ledger administration
- Proven experience of working within a finance environment
- willingness to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the role
