We are a leading manufacturer in metal works and are looking for a Quality Technician to join our team. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will play an integral role in achieving quality targets for a market-leading company. With a long-established presence in Leeds, this is an ideal opportunity for a strong Quality Technician seeking their next challenging position within a stable and secure business.
This position will appeal to individuals keen to uphold and improve quality standards within a manufacturing environment.
Role Description:
- Minimum of 3 years in an inspection role.
- Assist with calibration and inspection tasks.
- Operate the CMM (experience with Mitutoyo is an advantage but not essential).
- Assist with APQP for new products, including documentation generation and development.
- Liaise for internal and external tool and line trials support.
- Investigate customer concerns, provide resolutions, and respond accordingly.
- Assist with maintaining quality systems and implementing changes in line with IATF 16949 standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
- Organized with good problem-solving skills.
- GCSE grade 3 or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Experience interpreting engineering material standards.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Internal Auditor certification in IATF 16949.
