Roy Braidwood & Sons is looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our growing team. You will be responsible for delivering aggregates, sand, gravel, soil, and other construction materials to customer sites throughout the region, whilst also supporting our waste collection and disposal operations, always ensuring a reliable and professional service. As a key representative of our business, you will be responsible for ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally while maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport and deliver aggregates and construction materials to customer sites.
  • Operate tipper vehicles in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.
  • Ensure loads are secure and compliant before commencing journeys.
  • Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and undertake basic vehicle care.
  • Complete delivery paperwork and records accurately.
  • Comply with drivers' hours regulations, tachograph legislation, and company health and safety policies.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, site personnel, and the transport team.
  • Always represent Roy Braidwood & Sons in a professional manner.

What We're Looking For

  • Valid clean HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
  • Digital Tachograph Card.
  • EPIC/MPQC Card is preferred.
  • Previous 32 tonne tipper driving experience preferred (Ideally 2 years).
  • Excellent understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and compliance.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
