Key Purpose of the Job: We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join Brahma team and shape the user experience of our AI-powered creative tools. This role is specifically for a "designer who codes"—someone who can take a concept from a Figma sketch to a shipped product and who routinely uses generative AI tools like Cursor, Claude, or v0 to accelerate development. You will translate complex generative AI capabilities into intuitive, delightful interfaces by working hands-on with React to build production-quality components. You’ll collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, researchers, and creative teams to define how enterprises interact with AI-driven content creation.
Key Responsibilities / Job Duties:
- Lead end-to-end design for AI-powered creative tools and workflows, from discovery through implementation.
- Own and maintain all design prototypes, flows, and specifications in Figma, serving as the source of truth for product and engineering teams.
- Define and evolve the user experience for complex generative AI features including digital humans (ATMAN), voice synthesis (VAANI), and content management systems.
- Prototype and ship functional React components quickly, using AI-assisted coding tools.
- Build and maintain our React-based design system and component library, ensuring consistency across products.
- Create interactive prototypes using code (React, TypeScript) to validate ideas and communicate design intent precisely.
- Implement production-ready UI components, working alongside frontend engineers.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and uncover opportunities.
- Champion design quality in code reviews and contribute to frontend architecture decisions.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.
Job Requirements / Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work.
- Expertise in modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong visual design sensibilities with attention to typography, color, spacing, and motion.
- Active use of generative AI tools (Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, v0, Bolt, or similar) to accelerate design-to-code workflows.
- Proven experience building and maintaining design systems with coded component libraries.
- Proficiency in React and modern frontend development (TypeScript, CSS-in-JS, or Tailwind).
- Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-platform patterns.
- Excellent prototyping skills, both in design tools and in code.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work fluidly between design and engineering contexts.
- Experience working in agile environments with Git-based workflows.
Additional Skills / Nice to Have:
- Experience designing and building interfaces for AI/ML products or generative AI tools.
- Familiarity with React state management (Zustand, Redux), or GraphQL.
- Experience with WebGL, Three.js, or canvas-based interfaces.
- Understanding of video/audio workflows and real-time media applications.
- Knowledge of Storybook or similar component documentation tools.
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, Cypress).
- Track record of experimenting with emerging AI tools and sharing learnings with teams.
- Contributions to design systems, open-source projects, or technical writing.
About You:
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong drive to take initiative.
- Team-oriented, with a collaborative approach to achieving shared goals.
- Adaptable and flexible in responding to changing priorities or environments.
- Calm and composed under pressure, maintaining focus and efficiency.
- Equally comfortable in Figma and VS Code.
- Curious about emerging technologies, always experimenting with new tools and techniques.
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels.
