The pantry@bag was born as a coronavirus emergency response, but now it will continue to run as a people’s pantry offering affordable food to the Benarty area.

Duties:
The pantry@brag continues to run as a people’s pantry offering affordable food to people from the Benarty area. The food the pantry receives mostly comes from the charity Fareshare, which receives surplus food stock from supermarkets and delivers it to us on a weekly basis. We also receive donated food from local businesses.
As the lockdown has eased, we are finding ourselves with fewer volunteers as those we had were furloughed and have recently returned to work. We now need volunteers to help with the set-up of the pantry and to serve our members at the pantry when it is open. We are also looking for packers and delivery drivers.
We provide a listening ear to those in crisis with weekly coffee mornings for those living in isolation, where we support them with cooking on a budget and energy advice.
In return you will:
