We are looking for a hands-on financial crime professional with experience in KYC and Onboarding to be based full time in our London office. In this role, you will support the Group Head of Compliance to ensure the effective operation of our customer onboarding and AML, KYC processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Ideally, you will have developed your professional expertise within a financial services or regulatory environment.
  • It is essential that you have knowledge of wholesale financial markets including understanding of applicable rules and regulations.
  • A genuine interest in commodities is important.
  • You will be customer-service oriented and concerned with providing help and support to ensure that processes run smoothly.
  • You will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, providing support to the rest of the compliance team when requested.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of data and how to use it effectively.
  • You will be hands-on and have a strong work ethic.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the financial crime and sanctions framework across both shipbroking and securities divisions.
  • Conduct KYC and sanctions screening, and onboard clients and suppliers efficiently using a risk-based approach in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex remediation projects spanning multiple business lines.
  • Reconcile, maintain, and update client records across both regulated and unregulated business units.
  • Review, streamline, and implement effective client onboarding and categorisation processes to improve speed and accuracy.
  • Respond to client-led reverse due diligence requests with professionalism and precision.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including Legal, senior management, and desk heads, to ensure alignment and transparency in KYC and onboarding processes.
  • Provide support to the Head of Compliance and MLRO on a range of compliance initiatives, including AML, anti-bribery and corruption, and broader financial crime controls.
