Braemar Medical is currently recruiting for a Perm Pharmacy Technician to join a supportive and forward-thinking primary care team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Pharmacy Technician to play a key role in delivering a patient-centred medication management service within a well-established GP Practice environment.
The Role
As a Prescribing Technician, you will support the safe and effective management of prescribing processes, working closely with GPs, clinicians, pharmacies, care homes and wider healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes and support medicines optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Action and implement medication changes from discharge summaries, outpatient letters and consultant correspondence
- Support repeat prescribing processes and medicines reconciliation
- Manage prescription and medication queries from patients, pharmacies and care homes
- Assist with medication reviews, prescribing audits and formulary compliance
- Support the reduction of waste and identify cost-effective prescribing alternatives
- Liaise with hospitals, community pharmacies and wider healthcare providers
- Support compliance with CQC standards and medicines-related governance
- Process prescribing-related tasks accurately and efficiently using clinical systems
