About the Company
Braemar Medical is currently working with one of Primary care clients (GP Surgery and MIU) in North Somerset to recruit an experienced Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP) to join their expanding multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse, Paramedic or Advanced Clinical Practitioner with experience in minor illness and/or minor injuries who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Prescribing qualification is desirable but not essential.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work across a modern Primary Care and Minor Injury setting, assessing, diagnosing and treating patients autonomously while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team. Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered, with Monday to Friday working plus weekend rotation.
Responsibilities
- Independently assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting with minor illness and injuries.
- Undertake comprehensive history taking and clinical assessment.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Deliver safe autonomous clinical decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, Nurses, Paramedics and the wider MDT.
- Support clinician-led triage services.
- Manage acute presentations safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate EMIS clinical records.
- Follow local and national clinical guidelines.
- Participate in clinical governance, audits and quality improvement.
- Promote patient education and preventative healthcare.
- Contribute towards service development and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse, Registered Paramedic or Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
- Relevant healthcare degree.
- MSc (or currently working towards).
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience.
- At least 2 years recent Primary Care or Community experience.

Pay range and compensation package
Salary up to Β£64,046 depending on Experience
