Braehead Foods is looking for an experienced, energetic Chef de Partie to join their growing Production Kitchen brigade. Producing over 250 different lines for high volume banqueting, stadia, events and hotel customers, this is a fast paced role with exposure to many different elements of a manufacturing kitchen.
On the job training and development is provided, along with opportunities for professional and career development working alongside our experienced culinary team. This role offers fantastic work life balance, with daytime shifts and rotational weekend work.
Position reports to: Senior Sous Chef
Responsibilities/ Key result areas:
- Preparing, cooking, packing and labelling products to a high quality, following company product specification sheets.
- Rotating across all sections of the kitchen, working collaboratively with staff to meet high production stock targets.
- Ensuring food production complies with HACCP procedures, food hygiene regulations and allergen controls.
- Monitoring waste levels and portion control.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years previous chef experience.
- Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Previous chef experience within a production kitchen environment is desirable but not essential.
