Are you an experienced Debt Recovery Paralegal looking for your next opportunity within a growing, specialist property law firm?
At Brady Solicitors, we're continuing to invest in our people and our future as we enter an exciting new phase of growth. We're looking for a motivated and client-focused Debt Recovery Paralegal to join our Service Charge team.
The Role
You'll manage your own varied caseload, advising and representing clients on matters relating to service charge and ground rent arrears. You'll play an important role in progressing debt recovery files, delivering a high-quality service and contributing to the team's overall success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own caseload of service charge and ground rent recovery matters.
- Progressing debt recovery files and managing daily tasks through our case management system.
- Undertaking general court procedural work, including preparing and filing court documents.
- Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients and keeping them informed throughout the process.
- Drafting tailored correspondence and negotiating settlements with third parties and opposing solicitors.
- Managing deadlines, working towards individual KPIs and achieving financial targets.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a debt recovery role.
- Demonstrable experience managing their own caseload.
- Experience working within a legal environment and using a case management system.
- Knowledge of contentious law, with an understanding of CPR and debt recovery processes.
- Excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
- A resilient, tenacious and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines and thrive in a target-driven environment.
A Law degree or equivalent experience is essential, with a recognised Paralegal qualification desirable.
