We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team in Stockport. The Financial Accountant should ensure that the Brady entities are compliant with local regulations and the financial statements show a true and fair view of the business. Support all business functions with accurate and insightful reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- VAT calculations and returns
- Balance sheet reconciliation preparation and review
- FA register maintenance and annual review
- Work with Global Tax Manager to complete quarterly AFRs (tax returns/estimates)
- Work with local tax advisors and accounting auditors to ensure compliance with local law and existence of effective controls
- Ensure Brady Global policies are being followed
- Monthly accruals and postings, including payroll, bonus and annual leave
- Commissions calculations and reporting
- Work with sales and purchasing to manage sales and vendor rebates
- Support the business functions with adhoc reporting and analysis
- Support external and internal audits
- Support external tax advisors with the Corporation tax computations
- Prepare interim stat accounts for Brady Holding companies
- Provide reporting and analysis to Corporate Finance to support with US tax regulations and submission
- Work closely with the Shared Service Center Teams by providing guidance on various accounting matters, facilitating any process improvement initiatives and helping resolve any issues
- Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. Will consider part qual based on experience
- 5 years relevant experience
- Thorough understanding of local GAAP, US GAAP, income tax regulation and VAT regulation
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability and confidence to engage and challenge key stakeholders, to ensure processes, policies and controls are adhered to
- SAP system knowledge (preferred)
- Management accounts experience (preferred)
- Worked within manufacturing industry (preferred)
