The Sales Order Processor is an integral part of the Gravotech customer experience and is responsible for processing sales quotations and orders and responding to customer enquiries via telephone and email. This role would suit someone with a sales order processing, customer service, or administrative background.
Key Responsibilities
- Dedicated to meeting customer expectations when handling high volumes of inbound and outbound phone calls in a busy office environment
- Making outbound calls to customers to generate enquiries, follow up opportunities, or create additional business
- Managing shared email inboxes and responding to customer enquiries
- Processing sales quotations and customer orders
- Creating and managing purchase orders
- Checking stock levels and placing regular stock orders
Profile Skills and experience
- Previous experience in a sales order processing, customer service, or administrative role
- Strong customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Confidence in making outbound calls and engaging customers to identify opportunities
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and data
- Professional and confident telephone manner
- Ability to work under pressure and manage frequent interruptions
- Good IT skills, including experience with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with a willingness to support additional tasks as required
