An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of electric industrial vehicles. John Bradshaw LTD is a progressive expanding company focused on providing modern solutions for our customers and we are seeking a likeminded individual to join and grow with us into the future.

Since 1976, Bradshaw EV have designed and manufactured electric tow tractors, load carriers and bespoke vehicle solutions from our production site just outside Peterborough. We are proud to have supplied equipment to all sectors across the UK & Europe from manufacturing to hospitality, sports arenas and the NHS with an output of over 2000 vehicles annually across our sales and hire divisions.

A typical day for our engineers will be varied, from carrying out planned preventative maintenance, to quoted repairs, diagnosing a breakdown or providing technical assistance and bespoke work. No two days at Bradshaw will be the same, the role will suit individuals who enjoy problem solving and going the extra mile to get the customer back on the road.

Our engineers operate from home and daily workload will be dependent on-site location and the specific job that day brings. Typical tasks include:

  • Sending and receiving jobs via PDA / Laptop
  • Gauging travel time to site and planning the following day's work
  • Carrying out planned maintenance, breakdown support, quoted repair work
  • Liaising with customers and discussing the task at hand
  • Discussing work progress with the service desk and managing remedial works
  • Working both independently & in teams when workload requires
  • Communicating with other engineers to assist the team with technical advice and guidance

Bradshaw’s are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is looking to build a career in the electric industrial vehicle sector. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified & time served engineer from either an automotive or plant background with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience
  • Have strong electrical knowledge, Can BUS, diagnosing electrical faults, using diagnostic equipment (Training provided)
  • Have knowledge or working with traction batteries (Training provided)
  • Be able to work under your own initiative to solve problems
  • Be happy to work independently and in a team
  • Be a well-organised individual with excellent time management
  • Be willing to learn and progress with the company

You are required to provide your own hand tools common to the trade; all specific tools and heavy equipment including electrical tools will be provided by BEV.

  • Competitive salary with realistic OTE between £38k-£50k
