We are excited to announce that as a result of our continued success of our teams nationally, we are currently expanding our team in Maidsstone and are looking to recruit part time P401 Qualified Asbestos Bulk Analysts for our laboratory. Due to our growing national client portfolio of Partners, Bradley Environmental Consultants are looking for enthusiastic and loyal individuals to join our Technical Team. Roles and Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will undertake bulk analysis of suspect asbestos containing materials using polarised light microscopy in line with ISO 17025 accreditation.
  • The role also entails receiving samples from site, the preparation of samples for analysis, the recording of analytical findings on TEAMS and the issuance of results internally and externally.

Person Specification

  • The candidate(s) must hold a BOHS P401 (or equivalent).
  • Possess 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.
  • Have demonstrable Asbestos Laboratory experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The candidate must be computer literate with Microsoft Word and Excel experience and be able to adapt to specific online systems.
  • Experience of the TEAMS Asbestos Management System an advantage but not essential.
  • The candidate must possess demonstrable organisational and time management skills, be able to self-manage, be an excellent communicator with people at all levels and be experienced in delivering excellent customer service.

What We Can Offer You

  • The hours of work are 20 per week, Monday to Friday 1.00pm to 5.00pm.
  • A competitive 20 hours part time annual salary starting from £14,560.00 (£14.00 per hour) to £15,069.60 (£14.49) based on industry experience and qualifications.
  • A company paid healthcare (long service award applies at 3 and 5 years).
  • A company pension, into which we contribute 3% of qualifying earnings.
  • 22 days of annual leave (long service award applies at 3 and 5 years).
  • An additional day of annual leave for your birthday, or the closest working day to your birthday.

  • Contractual sick pay.
  • £1000 staff referral incentive.

  • Bradley Environmental Consultants will pay a joining fee of £2,000.00 to qualified candidates (pro rata on part time) who apply directly to the company, are offered a position and who commence employment for a minimum period of 6 months’ continuous service.
