We are expanding our team and are looking to recruit an Occupational/Industrial Hygienist based from our Halesowen office, West Midlands, and also our Wakefield office in West Yorkshire. Responsibilities
- Designing and undertaking monitoring programmes across a wide range of industries, to determine worker exposure to hazardous substances.
- Offering consultancy to clients on how to improve workplace environments, following on from monitoring programmes.
- Undertaking occupational noise assessments.
- Dealing with client enquiries and providing quotations relating to those enquiries.
- Undertaking COSHH assessments.
- Producing clear, well written reports relating to monitoring programmes undertaken, providing clients with recommendations and actions to enable them to provide safe working environments for their employees.
- LEV assessments.
- Undertaking Hand, Arm, Vibration risk assessments.
- Liaising with clients and suppliers as required.
Person Specification
- Hold relevant BOHS certificates (W501, W503, W507).
- Experience of working in a similar role.
- Commercial awareness and ability to liaise with clients to produce quotes for projects.
- Excellent Microsoft 360 and Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including production of written reports.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to be able to work away from home if required, or to respond to flexible working hours to suit client’s needs.
- The successful candidate must hold a full Driving Licence.
What We Can Offer You
The position is flexible in that the candidate can be based at one of our office locations in Halesowen or Wakefield (or be home based when not on site visits and established in the role).
Salary is negotiable between £35,000.00 and £50,000.
- The hours of work are 40 per week Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm or flexible hours are available (flexible hours needs to be based on a minimum of 3 full days to 5 full days per week, short day working will not be appropriate for this position)
