We are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Fire Risk Assessor to join our Safety, Health and Environmental team in Halesowen, West Midlands. Due to our continued growth in the built environment sector, Bradley Environmental Consultants are looking for an enthusiastic and loyal individual to provide technical fire safety advice and practical solutions to our customers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Undertake Type 1 & 3 Fire Risk Assessments across a range of property types
- Offer and provide technical fire safety advice and practical solutions to our customers
- Carry out works in line with PAS79 and other relevant Health & Safety guidance
- Attend client meetings to provide fire safety advice
- Provide Fire Marshal Training, Fire Drill Training & Fire Extinguisher Training
- Produce Building Evacuation Plans
- Ongoing development of related services to be provided to clients
- Training of others to provide these services
Person Specification:
- A minimum of two years industry experience undertaking fire risk assessments
- Hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate and/or other nationally recognised qualification certified through The Institution of Fire Engineers, the Fire Protection Association or The Institute of Fire Safety Managers
- Knowledge and ability to write detailed technical reports
- Up to date knowledge of current fire safety regulations, legislation, technical standards and best practice
- BAFE validator experience would be desirable, along with IFA/IFSM membership and third-party accreditation with the Institution of Fire Engineers register, or be committed to joining
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Full driving licence
- IT literate (experience of TEAMS would be an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided)
