Our client is currently recruiting for a Health Assessor to join there team in Potters Bar.

As a Health Assessor you will complete health declaration medical assessments accurately and efficiently, with customer focus in mind.

You will also follow agreed processes to ensure that the assessments are carried out with fair outcomes for the customer and in line with governance requirements.

  • Salary depends on experience - £27'500 - £33'000 per year
  • Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
  • Bonus of 8%-12%

Duties of a Health Assessor

  • Prepare and issue standard and non-standard customer terms.
  • Request medical evidence, including writing to the customer and obtaining medical information from third parties.
  • Provide information/undertake tasks in response to customer requests or as dictated by product / company requirements, ensuring that the work processed meet agreed company & customer service standards & conforms to legal, regulatory & business standards.
  • Managing queries within 48 hours.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints and queries, in line with the divisional & regulatory complaint procedures.
  • Identify the cause of the complaint, work to improve the process whilst balancing the needs of the Customer, the Company and the Regulator.

Requirements

Requirements of a Health Assessor

  • Able to underwrite Health Declarations
  • Understand the underwriting manuals and processes.
  • Understand the protection products which require underwriting input.
  • Customer focussed approach with an ability to think outside of the norm and challenge existing processes.
  • Ability to communicate with all types of customers and contribute to a team delivering service excellence.

It would be desirable to have GR1 or other industry recognised qualifications.
