Bradley David Associates is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading business in the Maldon, Essex area.
Salary: £44,000-£46,000 dependent on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – rotating weekly earlies and lates
Purpose of the Role: To support the maintenance team by delivering effective fault-finding and problem-solving solutions, ensuring all facilities and production equipment operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and maintain accurate reporting across a range of manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on manufacturing equipment, responding promptly to breakdowns and health & safety concerns.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs to buildings and site facilities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Undertake any additional reasonable duties as required to support the effective operation of the business.
Education & Experience:
Essential Qualifications:
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical engineering.
- Minimum qualification of City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ equivalent, BTEC, or ONC.
- BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
Essential Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a multi-skilled industrial environment.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Proven fault-finding ability in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Solid problem-solving capability.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
- IOSH safety certification
- Computer literacy
- MEWP licence
- Forklift (FLT) licence
- City & Guilds 2391 – Electrical Inspection & Testing
- TExT LEV P601
