Bradley David Associates is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Assistant Procurement Manager, a well-established and highly productive fresh produce office environment operating within a fast-paced, commercially driven supply chain, known for its hands-on culture, operational efficiency, and growth-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, source, and procure packaging, accessories, and warehouse supplies in line with operational demand.
  • Manage and coordinate suppliers and contractors, including planning work schedules, supervising activities, and signing off completed jobs.
  • Conduct daily fresh produce stock counts and closing stock procedures, reporting variances and findings to senior procurement leadership.
  • Organise and process invoices and delivery notes for internal approval and accurate record-keeping.
  • Support forward buying and procurement planning for central and regional operations, including deputising during management absence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in packaging procurement, including UK and international sourcing.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging legislation and compliance, including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
  • High level of attention to detail, organisation, and paperwork control.
  • Hands-on, practical approach with a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Desirable but not essential: experience driving a van and/or holding a forklift licence (training can be provided).

Working hours: 6.30am – *****pm, Monday – Friday
