Bradley David Associates is recruiting for an experienced Import Operator (NVOCC) on behalf of a growing logistics and freight forwarding organisation based in Chelmsford. This role requires strong operational knowledge of House Bills of Lading, customs procedures, container management, and carrier liability, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, compliantly, and profitably.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage ocean import shipments under company-issued House Bills of Lading (HBLs)
  • Verify Master Bills of Lading (MBLs) against shipment documentation
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, overseas agents, co-loaders, and consolidation partner
  • Coordinate or submit UK import declarations via CDS
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready digital job files
