Take the next step in your audit career. Our client, a well-established and growing independent accountancy practice, is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Senior or Assistant Audit Manager to join their Corporate Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to manage their own portfolio of clients, lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, mentor junior staff, and play an active role in the continued growth of a respected regional practice. The role involves managing a varied portfolio of corporate clients and delivering high-quality audit, accounting and compliance services.

The Role

  • Managing a portfolio of audit and accounting clients across a variety of sectors
  • Leading audits from planning through to completion
  • Reviewing audit files and financial statements before Partner review
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Managing budgets, billing and project delivery
  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional services to clients
  • Coaching, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members
  • Supporting recruitment, training and staff development
  • Contributing to business development and networking activities
  • Keeping up to date with technical and regulatory developments

These responsibilities reflect the firm's expectation that the successful candidate will lead client delivery while supporting business growth and developing junior staff.

About You

  • ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong UK audit experience within an accountancy practice
  • Experience managing audit assignments from planning to completion
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Previous experience reviewing the work of junior staff
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A proactive approach and genuine desire to develop both clients and colleagues
  • Management experience would be advantageous, although experienced Seniors looking to step into management will also be considered.
