As AI Director, you will be at the forefront of this transformation. Reporting into the CIO, you’ll shape the data strategy and help deliver next-gen AI solutions with real impact across the business. Our client is now seeking a visionary leader to establish and spearhead their AI initiatives. Responsibilities include: Develop, articulate, and own the comprehensive AI strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and market opportunities. Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases across product development, service delivery, and internal operations. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML research, technologies, and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and application within the company. Lead the restructuring and governance of enterprise data to enable AI-driven insights. Identify and deliver high-value AI/ML use cases, particularly in drug development and commercial strategy. Build internal AI capability while overseeing and challenging external vendors. Translate complex technical insights into compelling business narratives for senior stakeholders. Act as a thought leader across the business, helping shape the broader data and digital strategy. Who you are: An advanced degree (Master\’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 8-10+ years of experience in AI/ML, with significant hands-on development and deployment of machine learning models. Proven track record (minimum 3-5+ years) of leading, managing, and mentoring AI/ML teams or projects. Deep technical expertise in core AI/ML concepts, including supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers), NLP, computer vision (as applicable), reinforcement learning, etc. A strategic technologist with experience in AI/ML and exposure to LLMs (not required). Able to balance hands-on delivery with influencing at the highest organizational levels. Strong communicator, comfortable leading in fast-paced, change-heavy environments.
