Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide on-site maintenance, repair, and refurbishment services for our car carriers, waste bins, and the innovative Modalohr train wagon concept.
- Travel to customer locations to perform maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments on equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, executing necessary repairs
- Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and prolong equipment life
- Fabricate and weld components as required for repairs and modifications
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards and regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably within the transportation sector
- Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
