Cover Supervisor Wreake Valley Academy
Fixed Term until 22nd August 2027. 18 to 30 hours per week. Grade 7, Pts 11 to 14 (FTE £27,717 to £29,076). Start Date: ASAP. Application Close Date: 9.00am, Monday 28th September 2026. Provisional Interview Date: Thursday 1st October 2026.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support teaching and learning across the academy. The role offers flexibility, with working hours ranging from 18 to 30 hours per week (3 to 5 days). Specific working patterns and hours can be discussed at interview.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of teaching staff. Maintain a positive, productive, and focused learning environment. Build effective relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community. Support students to remain engaged with their learning and achieve their potential. Gain invaluable classroom experience, making this an ideal role for aspiring teachers.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a related field.
- Experience of working with children or young people in an educational or post.
