An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join Bradgate Education Partnership, working at The Pochin School as a Learning Support Apprentice. The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until 22nd August 2027 and will work towards achieving a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and well-motivated individual who is passionate about supporting pupils and contributing to high-quality educational provision. The successful applicant will work closely with pupils, the Class Teacher and the Sports Coach to help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
As part of the apprenticeship programme, directed learning time will be included within contracted hours to enable the apprentice to complete tasks, coursework and assignments set by the apprenticeship training provider. This role is a rewarding one with a successful candidate having the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of the Classroom Teacher to provide support for teaching and learning and associated activities in accordance with school policies and procedures. This may include providing general support for whole class learning activities, or supporting individuals or small groups of pupils as directed by the Teacher/Sports Coach.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills
- Have basic IT skills
- Have the ability to relate well to children and adults, understanding their needs and being able to respond accordingly
