At Bradfords Building Supplies, our success is built on great people, exceptional service and over 250 years of supporting customers across the South West. We’re looking for a Yard Assistant to join our Yeovil branch and play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient, and first-class customer experience to our roofing customers.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role where no two days are the same. As an important member of the branch team, you’ll be the friendly face of the business—supporting customers in the yard, accurately picking and loading orders, unloading supplier deliveries, maintaining stock and helping keep the branch operating safely and efficiently. You’ll also have the opportunity to spot sales opportunities, build strong customer relationships and support the wider team in driving branch success.
We’re looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, works well under pressure and always puts health and safety first. Experience in a yard, warehouse, builders’ merchant, or customer-facing environment working with roofing products would be beneficial, but attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
In return, we offer 30 days holiday including Bank Holidays (rising to 33 days after one year), a discretionary bonus scheme, contributory pension, life cover, online discounts, training and development opportunities and a supportive team environment.
If you enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, and being part of a team that makes things happen, we’d love to hear from you.
