At Bradfords Building Supplies, we’ve been supporting our customers for over 250 years as one of the South West’s leading independent builders’ merchants. Our success is built on our people, their expertise and the great service they deliver every day. We’re now looking for an inspiring General Manager to lead our branch in Honiton, someone who can bring energy, commercial insight and leadership to the heart of our business.

In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind your branch, leading your team, shaping performance and building strong relationships with customers. You’ll create a safe, positive environment where your team can thrive and where customers receive outstanding service every time. This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance leadership, operational management and commercial focus to deliver results through the following:

  • Leading your team
  • Driving sales and growth
  • Running the operation
  • Managing performance
  • Championing safety and service

We’re looking for a confident and commercially-minded leader who enjoys taking ownership and making a difference. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience leading and developing teams
  • A strong commercial mindset with experience managing budgets and performance
  • A passion for sales and delivering excellent customer service
  • Great communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to make decisions and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in retail, construction or merchanting (desirable, not essential)
