We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic enablement coordinator to join the Bradford enablement support team (BEST) working for Bradford Metropolitan District Council in the community within the Bradford districts. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.

The main responsibilities of this role:

  • Assess needs and implement (and review) care packages that meet the Care Act 2014
  • Work with individuals and their families to support people to reach their full potential through self care and enablement
  • Complete and review enablement support plans
  • Supervise and support a team of enablement support workers to ensure the BEST service is delivered in accordance with all relevant departmental policies and guidelines to enable compliance with the care quality commission (CQC)
  • Carry out performance management including supervisions, appraisals and observations
  • Plan and lead team meetings
  • Support and mentor trainee enablement support workers to achieve the care certificate and level 2 in health and social care
  • Participate in flexible and integrated working with other partners

Successful candidates must possess the following:

  • QAF diploma or Level 2 in Health and Social Care and a willingness to achieve Level 3
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Significant (and demonstrable) experience of working in adult care

Please note, service provision operates between the hours of 7am - 10pm, including Weekend and Bank Holiday working.
