Bradford Grammar School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SENDCo to cover a maternity from September 2026. The successful applicant will oversee and co-ordinate provision for pupils with Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND) for the Senior School and support these children appropriately under the School’s SEND Policy.
Responsibilities
The SENDCo maternity cover postholder will not be expected to do any classroom teaching.
Qualifications
- Level 7 or equivalent qualifications in individual specialist assessment.
- Qualifications current and valid.
- Up to date working knowledge of specialist testing materials for screening and analysis and of statutory requirements.
- Excellent inter-personal skills.
- ICT competent.
- Exemplary organisational skills.
- Capable of prioritising a busy workload.
- Empathetic towards children.
- Self-starter, able to work on own initiative.
