Exciting new opportunities to make a difference to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across the Bradford District.

Bradford Council is expanding the provision it makes for children and young people with SEND across Bradford District. We are establishing a number of Specialist Resourced Provisions with places for children and young people with SEND.There will be a number of these to meet the needs of CYP with Autism and a number to meet the needs of CYP with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. These provisions will be established by September 2019 and will begin to be operational from then.

We are seeking to recruit a number of exceptional, experienced Autism and SEMH HLTAs to support our children and young people in the new resourced provisions based in primary and secondary schools across the district.

The staff in the resourced provisions teams will be centrally employed by Bradford Council Childrens’ Services subject to their terms and conditions and deployed to the provisions, which will be co-located in mainstream schools across the district.

The successful SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistants will be comfortable and experienced working with pupils who have ASD and SEMH needs and will be able to effectively support learning across the primary age range or the secondary age range.

Above all, we are looking to find the ‘right\’ person who will become a valued part of the Resourced Provision and the school community which hosts the provision making this an excellent opportunity to gain experience as a SEND Learning Assistant in a supportive and inclusive environment.
