Bradford Theatres are looking to recruit self-motivated and enthusiastic casual Technicians and Dressers to join our busy Technical Department. The successful candidate will work across all three of our prestigious venues: The Alhambra Theatre, Studio Theatre, and St George's Concert Hall. Occasionally, as needed, the King's Hall Winter Garden may also require support.

The Alhambra Theatre is a 1450-seat venue, highly recognized nationally as one of the largest professional receiving venues, hosting a wide variety of shows, including drama, opera, ballet, international dance, West End musicals, and pantomime. St George's Concert Hall is a 1374-seat / 1572-standing venue, renowned for its excellent acoustics, hosting orchestral seasons, rock concerts, children's shows, and comedy seasons. The Studio Theatre is a versatile space for small-scale theatre productions, rehearsals, exhibitions, and meetings.

For the Casual Technician position, candidates must have 12-24 months of experience with electrical equipment, including programming ETC ION desks, focusing, fault finding, and backstage work in large theatre and concert hall environments. For the Casual Dresser role, knowledge and experience working in a theatre's backstage or technical areas are preferred. However, candidates with the right attitude, aptitude, and willingness to learn will also be considered.

Candidates must be prepared to work long and often unsociable hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. All duties should be performed with reasonable adjustments where appropriate, in accordance with the provisions of the Equality Act 2010.
