We are looking for a Casual Cleaning Warehouse Operative to join BACES in Low Moor, Bradford.
Responsibilities
- Clean and recycle medical equipment supplied by Bradford Metropolitan District and the NHS.
- Provide a polite and courteous service while dealing with members of the public, professionals and other agencies.
- Work as part of the BACES delivery and collection team, delivering and collecting medical equipment to the community and hospitals.
- Handle all types of new and returned equipment in the warehouse or in users’ homes, with varying cleanliness and material standards.
- Perform physical handling tasks: moving, bending, staying on your feet for the majority of the day, and assisting with unloading deliveries to the BACES warehouse and arranging stock.
- Remain flexible about working in other locations if required.
Qualifications
- Basic level of literacy and numeracy.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety when working with cleaning materials.
- Commitment to extending existing skills through further training.
- Willingness to attend appropriate training in areas identified to meet service equipment needs.
- Desired: licence to operate forklift trucks.
Wages: £24,796 per annum; Band 1/2, 37 hours, casual.
