We are looking for an organised and committed Human Resources Officer with proven experience in a generalist HR environment to join our team. This role provides general human resources support and advice to the Human Resources Manager and other WYJS Managers on a variety of HR matters in accordance with policies, procedures and employment legislation.

You will be responsible for processing HR documentation for all staff and for maintaining accurate workforce data. You will also help update HR policies, templates and communications. This is a varied role which requires flexibility, attention to detail and confidence of working in a busy environment with competing priorities.

About Us: West Yorkshire Joint Services (WYJS) is set within a unique and diverse urban complex with five West Yorkshire local authorities – Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield. Located at the heart of the UK, West Yorkshire has an abundant history and is a major commercial and cultural centre, surrounded by beautiful environment with the scenic valleys of Airedale and Wharfedale and deeply etched valleys of Rivers Aire and Calder, descending from the Pennine.

For forty years, WYJS, led by a joint committee has delivered a range of diverse shared services on behalf of the five West Yorkshire local authorities, which extends to both public and private sectors. These services either fulfil a statutory role such as Archaeological Advisory Services, Archives, Ecology Services and Trading Standards or those such as Archaeological Services and Calibration Services which provide a first-class commercial resource, delivering vital services to local and national businesses.
