Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Manager with a strong social work background to lead our Assertive Outreach Team.
This role will ensure that social work values, strengths‑based practice, safeguarding, human rights and statutory responsibilities remain central to service delivery within a fully integrated health and social care service.
The Team Manager will work collaboratively with professionals from Bradford Council and Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust to provide coordinated and holistic support for people with complex mental health needs, including psychosis, homelessness, substance misuse and other forms of social exclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional social work leadership and management oversight, ensuring that individuals receive seamless, person‑centred support.
- Manage complex risk, provide professional guidance and oversight, support decision‑making and promote a culture of positive risk enablement and strengths‑based practice.
- Oversee complex casework, support staff in managing risk and safeguarding concerns, and promote continuous professional development through reflective supervision.
- Ensure the delivery of safe and effective practice that achieves positive outcomes for people with complex mental health needs.
- Represent Bradford Council within the integrated service and maintain statutory responsibilities.
- Key Qualifications & Experience
- Experienced and motivated Team Manager with a strong social work background.
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills, with a passion for supporting practitioners to deliver high‑quality interventions to individuals experiencing multiple disadvantages.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex risk, safeguard concerns, and promote person‑centred care.
- Experience in integrated health and social care settings is desirable.
