This position is within the Performance and Business Intelligence Team which is part of the wider Knowledge and Information Service. The team is focused on delivering information and improvement‑centred insights within the complex world of Adult Social Care.

Responsibilities

  • Develop reporting that allows users to access data on a self‑service basis, using analytics and Business Intelligence platforms such as Power BI, QlikView, and Tableau.
  • Document developed processes and create SQL queries to support data analysis and reporting.
  • Build, diagnose and fix Power Automate flows to optimise reporting pathways and automate processes.
  • Analyse, interpret and present complex health and social care intelligence to a wide range of audiences.
  • Support managers and teams in developing skills and confidence in gaining insights from data to improve performance.
  • Proactively quality‑assure data and develop solutions to improve data quality.
  • Maximise the transparency of Adult Social Care data within the council and to the public.
  • Deliver statutory returns and benchmarking datasets to partners, including the Department of Health, the Association of Directors of Adult Services (ADASS) and client‑level data submissions.
  • Provide peer support and share ideas with the Performance and Policy Team to develop effective and efficient Business Intelligence practices across the council.

Requirements

  • Experience with SQL and data reporting.
  • Proficient in Power BI, QlikView, Tableau or similar BI platforms.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate build and maintenance.
  • Ability to document processes and improve workflows.
  • Basic DBS checks required.
