We are looking for a Legal Officer (Property) to join the Property Commercial and Development Team in Bradford Council. The focus of the role is on Property Law matters.
Responsibilities
- Carry out conveyancing transactions on behalf of the Council, including acquisition and disposal of property, preparation or approval of leases, tenancy agreements, licences and easements, charging of property, compulsory purchase orders, and related expert reports and pleadings.
- Provide advice and guidance to Council officers and elected members on all aspects of real property law, including landlord and tenant issues and CPOs.
- Carry out a proportion of the complex and high‑value or sensitive work referred to the team.
- Undertake complex legal research.
- Contribute to the development of new procedures and processes.
