We are looking for an energetic and proactive Infrastructure Manager for our Corporate office in Bradford who will take the lead on Infrastructure and Network matters.
We look after over £20bn of pension funds and have circa 30 clients who we undertake pension administration for as well as run financial systems and an impressive artificial intelligence tooling suite to support parts of the organisation.
The role supports day-to-day operations and maintenance of IT infrastructure across multiple in house Data Centres, corporate offices, ensuring stable, secure and efficient IT systems while partnering with stakeholders and technology teams to support operational needs, standardisation and ongoing improvements.
Additionally, this role works with key suppliers, operations departments, and guests to ensure satisfaction of all users and an efficient and positive work environment.
The main responsibilities of this role
- Own and oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance of network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN) across multiple sites, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Manage and take accountability for server environments, virtualisation platforms, and cloud services (e. g., Active Directory, Azure, Office 365), driving performance, scalability, and continuous optimisation
- Proactively monitor infrastructure and network performance, identify risks and potential issues early, and lead timely resolution in coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
- Act as a key contributor in incident response planning and execution, taking ownership of infrastructure-related actions during incidents to ensure effective response and minimal business disruption.
- Lead on post event root cause analysis.
- Ensure full compliance with IT security policies, regulatory and industry standards (e. g., PCI, GDPR), and lead and continually improve disaster recovery planning, testing using VMware Site Recovery Manager.
- Drive infrastructure strategy, capacity planning, and lifecycle management, leading standardisation and optimisation initiatives across the region.
- Own vendor relationships and lead the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure and networking projects, including new site deployments, upgrades, and technology implementations.
