Position Details: 3x permanent full time (37 hours) and 1x fixed term contract (until March 2030) full time (37 hours).

Job Summary: The Housing Options Service is responsible for discharging Bradford Council’s statutory duties towards customers in housing need. We are looking for dynamic staff who can work in a busy, front‑line environment, with a large team. The role involves working with vulnerable customers, preventing their homelessness and achieving sustainable long‑term outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Recent demonstrable practical work experience in a housing‑related environment providing advice on prevention of homelessness, housing advice and assistance.
  • Knowledge of homelessness assessments under S184, including application of relevant legislation, case law, the Homelessness Code of Guidance 1996 and Homeless Reduction Act 2017 is advantageous.
  • At least NVQ Level 4 in a relevant discipline such as Housing, Housing Advice, Social Sciences, or equivalent work experience.
