The Education Safeguarding Service wants to enable all children of compulsory school age in the district to access, attend and enjoy safe settings, and to ensure that the adults who work with them have the knowledge and skills to support them effectively. The aim of this team is to work collaboratively with Council teams and wider agencies to provide a coordinated approach to the well-being of children and young people, whilst continually striving for imaginative and forward-thinking practice that will make a difference to the children of Bradford.
We are looking to recruit a term time Elective Home Education Officer to join a team of officers who are responsible for:
- Providing advice and support to education settings and staff regarding safeguarding matters and elective home education (EHE)
- Support for elective home education and understanding what a suitable full-time education looks like
- Responding to practice that falls below agreed standards and policies set out by the DfE and the Local Safeguarding Children Board
