West Yorkshire Pension Fund is a leading Local Government Pension Fund and one of the UK's largest pension funds, based in Bradford. Due to our increasing Shared Service with other pension funds, we require a Casual Finance Officer to join our small, friendly team based in Aldermanbury House in Bradford City Centre.
Key Duties
- Support the Finance Team by undertaking posting pensions contributions to members’ records.
- Reconcile employers monthly contribution payments to members’ records.
- Daily accounting for the general ledger (data entry, journals).
Ideal Candidate
- Grade A to C GCSEs including Maths and English.
- Previous experience working in a finance environment is desirable.
- Quick learner, adaptable, and able to use MS Office and IT systems.
- Versatile and willing to undertake an array of basic financial tasks.
- Excellent customer communication skills, able to be an excellent team player, and able to multi-task.
- High level of self-motivation and use of initiative.
- A basic disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for this post.
