About the role
New Vision Bradford is a partnership between the Bridge Project, Project 6 and Waythrough. Under this umbrella, the partnership delivers an adult drug and alcohol service for the Bradford and Craven District, aiming to help people tackle and reduce risk‑taking behaviours through dedicated prevention, intervention and support. We are looking to recruit a full‑time BRIC Worker (Building Recovery in the Community) who will deliver support and initiatives in the local areas to establish visible recovery and increase opportunities for service users to achieve sustainable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver support and initiatives in local areas to establish visible recovery and increase opportunities for service users.
- Support individuals in the early stages of recovery, particularly those in their first three months of aftercare, holding a small caseload.
- Help individuals maintain their recovery, reconnect with their communities and build confidence and skills needed to move forward.
- Combine one‑to‑one support, community engagement, partnership working and practical assistance.
Qualifications
- Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues.
- Experience carrying out assessments, recovery planning and risk‑management plans.
- Experience working with families and carers.
- Full driving licence, access to a vehicle for work purposes and business insurance.
