Home Energy Advisor
28 hours per week (0.8 FTE) negotiable Fixed term to 31 January 2027 negotiable (possible extension subject to funding) Hourly rate: £15.34 (=£28,000 salary pro rata) Plus 6.6% matched pension contribution
Bradford Trident seeks a confident, numerate, client focused, highly motivated home energy advisor with a good understanding of physics, excellent people skills and an eye for detail.
The successful candidate will help deliver a home energy efficiency and carbon monoxide awareness service to help lift local people out of fuel poverty and avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
To provide support to vulnerable customers relating to:
- Energy triage (a short conversation which aims to understand a household’s issues and energy needs, ready to then provide appropriate support and signposting)
- Energy behaviour change recommendations
- Carbon Monoxide safety information
- Priority Services Register conversations
- Referral to income maximisation services (as appropriate)
- Distribution of Keep warm packs (as appropriate)
- Onward referral for small energy efficiency measurers (as appropriate)
- Referral to other support services (as appropriate)
Information and advice, by telephone and in personal contact both at the and drop-in sessions at Park Lane Centre (BD5 0JN), and Home Energy Assessments in people’s homes.
Where appropriate, to act on their behalf and represent their interests with third parties
To maintain accurate and timely records and maintain case records
Promote the service by giving talks on energy advice at outreach venues.
