Our exceptional Construction department are recruiting for a dedicated Curriculum Team Leader to join the team and manage the Electrical provision within the department.

The Curriculum Team Leader will be responsible for all operational matters in the curriculum area including managing the performance of course with regards to enrolment, retention and achievement targets.

Responsibilities include:

  • To be responsible for managing the performance of courses in the curriculum areas, specifically in the areas of student enrolment, retention and achievement targets; quality of teaching and learning; observations, appraisal and staff development; student satisfaction and equality and diversity targets.
  • To ensure appropriate records, registers, staff and student timetables are maintained and available as required by internal management information systems and external audit regimes.
  • To ensure that systems are in place to ensure that effective Initial Advice and Guidance takes place and that all programme MIS data is interrogated to support the achievement of intended outcomes.
  • To be responsible for the overall management of the curriculum team.
  • To undertake teaching at a level agreed with the HoD and Curriculum Area Manager
  • To be responsible for the business development and recruitment in the curriculum areas.
  • To ensure effective management of the curriculum\’s physical resources.
  • To maintain a safe and secure learning environment by ensuring regular risk assessments are undertaken.
  • To contribute to the collegial culture, mission and strategic objectives and to work with colleagues in other curriculum and service areas across the College.

Education & Training

  • GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
  • GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
  • A relevant Bachelor\’s degree or appropriate professional qualification.
  • A recognised teaching qualification

Experience

  • Experience in managing curriculum delivery within Further Education
  • Experience in course development and recruitment
  • Experience in student pastoral care and disciplinary procedures.
  • Experience in the interpretation of data sets to inform and enable performance management.
  • Academic or industrial, or commercial experience in an area relevant to the programme – Construction
  • Experience in Good teaching/training.
  • Experience in student pastoral care and disciplinary procedures
  • Experience in course leadership responsibilities.
