We have an excellent opportunity to join our exceptional Engineering and Motor Vehicle department as a Technician to support the delivery of our Motor Vehicle and Engineering qualifications and assist in providing an outstanding student experience. As a Technician you will support students in the workshop to develop their vocational skills and ensure that the teaching staff you are working with have the resources and support needed to deliver outstanding lessons. This role will be working across multiple sites to support both Motor Vehicle and Engineering workshops as required.
Responsibilities
- Support students in their Engineering and Motor Vehicle workshops to develop their vocational skills.
- Ensure that the teachers you are working with have the resources and support needed to deliver outstanding lessons.
- Assist the management team and teaching colleagues in delivering high learning value, financially efficient programmes (including physical resource and budget management) and to lead on innovation and efficiency in the delivery of learning.
- Support the behaviour management of students in the workshop and across both campuses (Trinity Green and Junction Mills) – ensuring their health, safety, wellbeing and conduct is in line with college and departmental policies and ethos.
- Help students develop modern, safe working practices and behaviours – in both technical (vocational skills) and employability skills.
- Ensure that the specific locations you are responsible for are at all times professional in appearance and inspection ready.
- Proactively develop and promote close links with employer/industry partners – including suppliers.

Education & Training
