Here at Bradford College we have a rare opportunity to join the team as the Head of our exceptional Apprenticeships and Business Development department. As the Head of Apprenticeships you will provide leadership to the team and drive a high-impact employer engagement and business development plan, strengthen external partnerships and shape an outstanding FE, HE and Apprenticeship curriculum. This is an exciting time to join the department as Bradford College has recently been named Apprenticeship Provider of the Year at the Apprenticeship and Training Awards.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver a high impact employer engagement and business development plan supporting College in achieving its vision and goals.
- Manage external links and subscriptions to bodies which can generate sales opportunities.
- Implement the Bradford College vision for an outstanding provision aligned to the 4-year strategy and informed by market research, staff, student and parental feedback, feeder schools and the wider community needs.
- Plan the FE/HE/Apprenticeship curriculum to support delivery of the College strategy and strategic action plans and departmental business plan.
- Optimise the efficient delivery of the curriculum to achieve targets.
- Constantly strive to improve the student experience with a view to further extending their opportunities and progression to further study or employment.
- Keep abreast of national qualifications on offer, making decisions for the most appropriate qualifications for students.
- Ensure a high level of satisfaction with employers.
- Oversee the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning for the Department.
- Work in partnership with the Quality team to identify, develop and implement appropriate quality initiatives.
- Responsible for the management of the departmental budget and physical resources.
- Develop and deliver plans to increase income streams.
- Manage the performance of all programmes and courses in the department.
- Responsible for the deployment, performance management and development of staff.
- Oversee the selection, admission and progression of students within the department and deal with matters relating to their performance, achievement, conduct and discipline.
