We are seeking passionate Youth Workers to join Breaking the Cycle as part of Targeted Youth Support Services. These roles will sit within the Youth Service Adolescent Pathway, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, youth-work-led interventions to young people at risk of entering care.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver intensive, direct work with young people and their families.
- Build and maintain trusted, consistent relationships with children and young people.
- Support young people to understand and manage risk, behaviour, and relationships.
- Work flexibly and creatively, including evenings and weekends, to meet young people where they are.
- Contribute to family-led planning and interventions that strengthen relationships at home.
- Work as part of a multi-agency team within District Youth Services Targeted Youth Support.
- Ensure all work is trauma-informed, relational, restorative and youth-centred.
About You
- Experience working with adolescents with complex needs and behaviours.
- Skilled in building relationships with young people who may be resistant to services.
- Strong safeguarding awareness and understanding of risk.
- Works in a trauma-informed and restorative way.
- Resilient, flexible, and able to work consistently and persistently with families.
- Passionate about achieving better outcomes for young people.
