Youth Worker - Breaking the Cycle Salary: JNC 16-19 / SO1 – SCP JNC 16 – SO1 SCP 25 - £34,708 - £36,363, Permanent, 37 hours per week, based across the Bradford District.

About the Role
Do you have the passion, skills and determination to support some of Bradford\'s most vulnerable young people?
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Youth Workers to join our Breaking the Cycle service.
The team delivers targeted, trauma-informed interventions to young people aged 13-19 (up to 25 for young people with disabilities or vulnerabilities), helping them overcome challenges and reduce the risks associated with criminal exploitation, serious violence, gangs, county lines activity, trafficking and other forms of harm.
Breaking the Cycle works directly with young people and communities through intensive one-to-one support, small group interventions and youth work activities that help young people build resilience, make safer choices and achieve positive outcomes.
The service also works closely with families, communities and partner agencies to provide coordinated support that protects young people from harm and promotes their personal development.
As a Youth Worker, you\'ll play a vital role in building trusted relationships with young people, providing guidance, support and advocacy, and helping them develop the confidence, skills and knowledge they need to thrive.

You\'ll also
- Deliver high-quality one-to-one and group work interventions with vulnerable and criminally exploited young people.
- Support young people\'s social, emotional and physical wellbeing through targeted youth work interventions.
- Provide information, advice and guidance on issues including exploitation, trafficking, county lines, gangs, weapons and serious violence.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to plan and deliver effective support and safeguarding interventions.
- Ensure young people have a voice and can influence the design and delivery of services that affect them.
- Help young people develop life skills, build positive relationships and achieve recognised outcomes and accreditations.
- Work with communities and volunteers to enhance youth provision and opportunities for young people.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring, evaluation and evidence of impact.
- Deliver a minimum of 24 hours per week of face-to-face work with young people.
- To be successful in this role you will need
- A JNC Youth and Community Work qualification or another relevant qualification at Level 6 or above.
- Experience of working with young people aged 11-19 (up to 25 for those with disabilities or vulnerabilities) across a variety of settings, including detached or community-based work.
- Knowledge and understanding of issues impacting young people, including exploitation, gangs, trafficking and serious violence.
- Experience supporting vulnerable young people and empowering them to achieve positive outcomes.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage young people from diverse backgrounds.
- An understanding of equality, inclusion and young people\'s participation.
- The ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and other unsociable hours when required.
- Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and information systems.
