A Warrington-based specialist brokerage is hiring an experienced Second Charge Mortgage Advisor to join an established team handling a steady flow of warm enquiries. The second charge market has matured significantly since the MCD changes brought it under FCA regulation, and this firm has built a serious proposition around it. They have an embedded panel of second charge lenders, a strong introducer network, and a back-office function that takes the administrative weight off advisors so you can focus on writing business.

This is a role for someone already operating in the second charge space. You'll be CeMAP qualified, you'll know the lender criteria, and you'll be able to demonstrate consistent billing in a previous seat.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll handle inbound enquiries from introducers and direct customers, conducting full fact finds, assessing affordability and suitability, and recommending the right product from the lender panel.
  • You'll be responsible for the case from initial enquiry through to completion, working alongside packagers and case managers to keep the pipeline moving.
  • The cases you'll see typically involve debt consolidation, home improvements, capital raising for property purchases, and clients who can't or don't want to remortgage their first charge.
  • Loan sizes typically range from £25,000 to £250,000, with some larger high net worth cases going through the desk.
  • You'll be expected to hit monthly conversion and billing targets, maintain compliant case files, and keep your CPD current.

What's on offer:

  • £30,000 to £35,000 basic salary depending on experience
  • 6% commission structure with realistic OTE that strong advisors are achieving
  • Established lender panel including Pepper, United Trust Bank, Together, Equifinance, Optimum Credit, Selina, and others
  • Warm lead flow from introducers and direct marketing
  • Compliance and case management support so you can focus on advising
  • Office-based role with a collaborative team environment
  • Clear progression routes for high performers

What we need from you:

  • CeMAP qualified (full qualification, not part-qualified)
  • Demonstrable experience writing second charge mortgages within the last twelve months
  • Strong working knowledge of the second charge lender market and current criteria
  • Confident handling vulnerable customer conversations and complex affordability scenarios
  • Compliant, methodical approach to fact finding and suitability documentation
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to manage your own pipeline
  • A clean compliance record

About the firm:

The firm is a specialist lending brokerage with strong second charge volumes and an established reputation in the market. They've invested in technology, compliance infrastructure, and lender relationships to give advisors the best possible platform to write business. Advisors who join tend to stay.
