Bradford and Marsh are recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic / Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle organisation based in Preston. This is a hands-on role within a busy workshop environment, ideal for someone with strong experience working on HGV trucks who can confidently carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs to a high standard. Key Responsibilities in this role as a HGV Mechanic / Technician:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV trucks
- Interpret job cards and repair orders, ensuring all work is completed accurately
- Diagnose faults and identify any additional work required
- Accurately record work completed and any tests carried out
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Keep up to date with the latest technical training and industry developments
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet workshop targets
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety and company procedures
Requirements for this HGV Mechanic / Technician role:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HGV / Heavy Vehicle Technician or Mechanic role
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Experience working within a workshop or dealership environment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- A positive attitude with the ability to work well within a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
